About Game Art & 3D Assets
The look of the game: characters, environments, props, icons and animation, in 2D or 3D. Art for a game has to work inside the engine, so the file formats, the size limits and the art style are part of the job, not an afterthought.
Do the files come ready for Unity or Unreal?
Ask for it in the project. Name the engine, the file formats and any polygon or texture limits, so the proposal covers rigging and export as well as the drawing.
Can one artist keep the style consistent across the game?
That is the reason to hire one artist or one studio for the whole set. Ask for a style sheet or a first character before the rest, and approve it before the volume work starts.
